The Unbearable Lightness of Being a Salaryman

Is it just me or does anyone else hear the song "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham! playing when they look at this splash page from Young Kōsaku Shima?
OK, I admit: This does kind of make Kosaku Shima look like an insufferable asshole. But it looks like this must have taken place in the eighties, and weren't all businessmen insufferably smug assholes in the eighties?
